This is a meeting place for people who are interested in what role spirituality and the sacred might play in a twenty-first century revolution. Activists and organisers often apply rational, utilitarian thinking to achieve a set of quantifiable goals. This is obviously important if we want to get things done. But why are we doing what we’re doing? Are specific results more important than the quality of our motivations? What kind of revolution needs to take place in our own hearts, minds and souls?
You don’t need to be religious or have any specific beliefs to take part in this process. The intention is to connect and ask open and hopefully challenging questions about our ethical and spiritual response to the situation in which we find ourselves.
The format for these meetings, which we’re currently running every second Sunday of the month at 4pm UK time, is as follows:
- Introduction, welcome and check ins
- A reading/stimulus
- Responses in breakout groups
- Feedback and group discussion
- Invitation to get more involved
- Check outs
The meeting will be about 1 hour and 30 mins.
