🔐 Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 13th May 2025
Revolution in the 21st Century

At Revolution in the 21st Century, we believe that privacy is a fundamental right — not a privilege sold to the highest bidder. We are committed to safeguarding your personal information because our movement depends on trust, safety, and collective accountability.

We don’t collect your data to profit — we collect it to organize, mobilize, and build power together. And we only collect what is necessary, process it legally and always act with the utmost care.

1. Who We Are

We are a grassroots, people-powered organisation dedicated to radical change. We support and coordinate action across movements, connect people with struggles that matter, and use our digital spaces to amplify voices fighting for justice.

2. What We Collect and Why

We collect the minimum data necessary to organize effectively:

  • Contact info (name, email) when you sign up for newsletters, events, or campaigns — so we can keep you in the loop, not spam your inbox.

  • Technical info like IP addresses and browser types — collected automatically by Squarespace (our website host) and used to keep the site running smoothly.

  • Embedded content from other platforms (like YouTube videos, movement media, etc.) may track your interaction via cookies — please see their privacy policies if you're concerned.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. Ever.

3. Cookies

Our site, hosted by Squarespace, uses cookies to:

  • Keep the site functional;

  • Understand how folks are engaging;

  • Embed media that helps tell our story.

You can manage or disable cookies in your browser — we support your right to control your digital footprint.

Read more about Squarespace’s cookie practices here.

4. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

  • Keep you informed about actions, gatherings, and updates;

  • Coordinate across activist networks;

  • Build a safer, more inclusive digital community.

We may use third-party services (like email tools) to help us do this, but only ones that respect your rights and data. We prefer to use self-hosted platforms (when we have the relevant expertise and capacity), rather than hosted solutions, to protect your data and reduce those who have access to it.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you;

  • Correct or delete your data;

  • Unsubscribe at any time;

  • Challenge misuse.

Want to invoke any of these rights? Just email us at info@rev21.earth — no red tape, no bureaucracy.

6. Data Solidarity

We believe in data solidarity: protecting your data not just as individuals but as part of a movement. We will never cooperate with authorities or institutions that seek to use your data to suppress dissent, unless compelled by law — and even then, we will resist and inform you if possible.

7. Updates

If anything changes in this policy, we’ll let you know. No shady edits buried in legalese. Transparency is part of the revolution.
