Assemblies aren’t like usual meetings – they’re inclusive, participatory spaces where people make decisions together through constructive dialogue, not hostile debate. They can be used to build community resilience to help address things like the rise of fascism or in crisis response to floods. They can also be used to be the foundational blocks in which you build real democracies – a social movement for systemic change.
In this fast-speed training we unpack the four building blocks of Assemblies: strategy, outreach, design and group guiding. You’ll learn practical stuff on how to plan for impact, create safe and joyful spaces and practise the communication skills needed to bring in a true cross-section of your community.
